Why i’m interested: I do not believe that humans own the environment or are separated from other animals. I believe that all of nature is connected and that we are part of the environment. To me, learning about the environment is as important as learning about food or water. I hope that I can learn how to keep the earth sustainable and happy, and I hope I learn how to encourage others to pick up a worldview that doesn’t put the environment off to the side.

Why I am interested: I am interested in learning about environmental issues because of the impact that the environment has on all of our lives. I am 6’7 and am often called Big E.

Why I am interested: I’m interested in learning about environment because it’s my home. Just like an ordinary house, its hard to live in it if you don’t keep it clean and take the necessary steps for a cleaner and healthier environment. I would like to know what the problems are concerning the environment, and what I can do to change it.

Why I am interested:

Broadly, I am interested in the differences in cultural relationships with the environment.

In particular, I have an interest in how the legacy of colonialism is maintained through the practice of international development and the imposition of neo-liberal economic strategies on developing countries by means of International Financial Institutions (International Monetary Fund and World Bank) Structural Adjustment Programmes (SAPs), and how this relationship exacerbates the rate of environmental degradation (i.e. soil erosion from increased mono-cropping for cash crop exports) and the catastrophes that subsequently ensue in these countries.

Why I am interested: I am interested in learning about environmental issues because i feel a strong connection to the earth, i think the earth needs to be cherished not exploited. As well I think all living animals deserve respect and care from us. Therefore i would like to learn about environmental issues to gain insight into the situation and make a difference in the future.

Why I am interested: Most people when asked about environmental issues can recognize there are severe environmental issues but have a greater difficulty explaining them in detail. If I learn more about the environmental issues we face  I can gain a better understanding of how to prevent further damage and promote change.
